It is no secret that I am a DJI fan. Yes, they have loaned me gear to test out, but others offer me gear to try, too. As I wrote in a recent news post on the Mavic Mini, or this Tello drone (super affordable – updated to include holiday sale of $79 direct from DJI), DJI makes it so simple (and fun) to fly that it is an easy product company to love. When they create holiday promotions with big savings, they are even more lovable. To be fair, I have listed a few other special deals you can grab right away.

Here are the 2019 DJI Black Friday deals: DJI Mavic 2 Pro for $1,379 (Save $400), and more deals on DJI’s Osmo Pocket, Osmo Action, Osmo Mobile 3, Ronin S, and the Ronin SC. The Black Friday sale started November 24, 2019 and runs until next Wednesday, December 4, 2019, but I would not wait that long. Their products sell quickly and you do not want to miss these big savings. They also have a holiday promotion that will run from December 13, 2019 until January 1, 2020, so a whole new set of deals will hit your shopping list.
Note: I have been writing for Forbes Finds this season and have a variety of big Blacky Friday sales posts, but this is not drone post is one of them. I would point you to Christian de Looper who lists out at least one drone deal, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro at B&H Photo (the well-known camera store in New York that I love and have purchased from over the years as a semi-pro photographer. They do an amazing job selling online and give that other big online seller a run for its money). Check it out here: B&H Black Friday 2019: Deals On Cameras, Computers And Gadgets.
If you are buying for a child, and want to avoid spending too much, Walmart does have other brands that get decent marks for ease of flying or durable (which counts for a lot since your child is likely to crash in the first bit of flying). Check out the roundups done by other Forbes Finds on their Black Friday home page where they list more deals, check out the Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Nordstrom and Wayfair home pages.
On the Walmart site, look for the Mini Orion Camera Drone with a live feed LCD Screen remote control quadcopter for $29.99 (Save $110). You may also see (if it is not sold out), this Sky Rider Thunderbird Quadcopter Drone for $$19.97 (Save $20). Not as robust as a DJI drone, but quite a bit less bite on the wallet. I would also encourage you to take a look at Best Buy. They have the Parrot Anafi (and used to carry the Parrot Bebop which had good ratings) for $599.99 ($100 savings).
Of course, you can just head straight to DJI and see deals, all the deals, until your eyes pop and your wallet cries. But I do not think you will be disappointed with the many opportunities to save money and start flying. I hope to do some tests and reviews of the Mavic Mini in 2020.
