Pokémon GO has continued a recent trend of letting fans vote from a selection of four Pokémon to pick the next two Community Days. It’s been a popular attraction, garnering tens of thousands of votes from all over the world, and this time, we have an interesting selection before us.
The four potential Community Day Pokémon are:

These will be for the September and October Community Days. The poll is not yet live for voting, this is just the announce so you can start gearing up for your lobbying campaigns. What are favorites?
The clear early favorite appears to be Porygon with a vast breadth of support among the community. Porygon is such a potential frontrunner that the Pokémon itself is actually trending on Twitter.
Besides that, I am seeing support for Caterpie where its shiny is gold, and in turn shiny Butterfree, where its shiny is Pink. Some strong early support for seeing another Charmander Community Day, where the black Charizard is one of the most popular in the game, and fans are hoping that he may return with Blast Burn as a special move.
I am….not seeing a whole lot of Grimer cheerleaders. Fun fact: Grimer was the last original 150 Pokémon I got. I even got a Muk before I found a Grimer in the wild because he was a raid boss. Grimer does have an Alolan Muk evolution, but again, he does not seem like he’s going to place anywhere above fourth for this, judging by the early buzz I’m seeing.
With Porygon being an almost guaranteed winner, it will really just be between Caterpie and Charmander. And between those, even as interesting as shiny Caterpie and his family may be to some people, I think Charmander and Charizard are just too popular and potentially strong for him to lose. I would frankly be amazed if the top two were not Porygon and Charmander when all is said and done.
Voting does not open up yet, and when it does, players will know what special move that these Pokémon will have, which could potentially change the equation if one of them gets some kind of great move for battling like we saw with Beedrill previously. But until then, I think the frontrunners are pretty locked in stone here.
