Microsoft Xbox One X Bundle
This past week at the Video Game Awards, Microsoft revealed its Xbox Series X. It looks like a PC (specifically, like a Maingear Potenza) and will be released during the holidays in 2020. But more importantly, it means prices will be dropping on all current Xbox consoles like the Xbox One S and Xbox One X.
Writing these deals posts is a fairly new practice for me. I figure the structure should be something like you’d see when searching for recipes while standing in the middle of the grocery store. It’s three paragraphs of nonsense before you even get to the ingredients list. Then another personal anecdote before the actual recipe. Like this useless paragraph.
I recently purchased a Xbox One S on sale for Black Friday for $150 at Walmart. That’s a good deal to replace my aging Xbox One which has been making that sound you hear if you live under the flight path of the local airport. The Xbox Series X pricing is yet to be shared with the world, but it could be as low as $399, but I doubt it.
Regardless, pricing for these current Xbox consoles should give you plenty of reason to stick with Xbox until next year’s holiday shopping season. Walmart naturally has the best Xbox pricing on the market, coinciding with the Series X reveal, but likely only mildly related.
This all-digital Xbox is still only $150 at Walmart. That’s less than I paid for my last pair of shoes so it was a no-brainer to pick this console up to keep me gaming until long into 2021, after the second gen Xbox Series X is released. Red ring of death, never again. This console also comes with some Fortnite goodies, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft.
So here’s a fun offering from Walmart. Instead of just offering the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order console by itself, here you can bundle with your choice of three bonus games (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for an extra $3, Madden 2020 for an extra $3 or Fifa 20 for free). Then you can choose your controller. You can save up $59.76 (18%) and spend as little as $246 for the console, two games and an extra controller. That’s a deal.
The same bundle deal exists for the Xbox One X 1TB console at Walmart, just in case you prefer your Xbox console to have a disc slot. At most you’ll pay $378, saving up to $59.76 (14%). Or you could save that money for the Xbox Series X, but we both know you aren’t going to do that. So now you’ve got a brand new console, how about stacking it with some games? All these Xbox One titles are currently on sale at Walmart.
Patrick Mahomes says you should buy Madden NFL 20 for $39.88.
Borderlands 3 is on sale for $39.99. I’ll buy it when it’s on sale for I found this in the dumpster behind 7-11.
Anthony Davis scowls at you if you don’t buy NBA 2K20 for $39.99.
Eden Hazard’s little brother Thorgan Hazard plays for my third favorite Bundesliga team and even he can afford to purchase Fifa 20 for $35.00.
I paid full price for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare but have certainly gotten my money’s worth out of it. You can too, for only $38.00.
I’ve heard Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is like the Dark Souls of Star Wars games, so hard pass from me. But if you like, it’s on sale for $44.99, but I’d wait like another month when it’s down to $35.99.
